Victor’s Bio…

I am a first year student at Imperial College London studying Chemical Engineering. After moving from Belgium to the UK, I achieved 4A* in Maths, Further Maths, Chemistry and Biology. However, what I really enjoyed were Chemistry Olympiads with my greatest achievement being a silver medal at the International Chemistry Olympiad, where I became the second Belgian ever to receive such a prize.

I see tutoring as a way to both pass on my knowledge and to inspire the next generation of scientists. My approach prioritises is building strong logic and intuition about the subject, tailored to each individual needs, instead of just straight memorisation. By encouraging highly interactive sessions I aim to build a thorough understanding of the fundamentals concepts before progressing towards exercises and exam techniques. I emphasise particularly on the problem solving side of questions, while ensuring students understand exactly what the mark schemes explicitly require. I am a strong believer that making mistakes and challenging oneself frequently is essential for growth. By building an environment together where students push their limits, I help them develop strategies and a mindset needed to perform at the highest level.

Besides tutoring, I also speak three languages: Dutch, French and English. Additionally, I used to play rugby as a sport but i have now moved on to going to the gym and swimming. I love F1 and enjoy spending time with my friends.
