Hi, I’m Davina and I’m going into my first year to study Chemical Engineering having achieved 43 points at IB (approximately equivalent to 4A*s at A-level) and previously gained 11 A* grades at GCSE!
I strongly focus on adapting my tutoring to each student’s individual needs and responding to any specific requests they may have. Generally, I like to teach in an interactive and engaging way by encouraging students to actively participate whether it be answering questions and writing or drawing things themselves, while closely following the relevant syllabus and specification. I then place a strong emphasis on practising application through a wide range of carefully selected questions that test a range of skills to help students build confidence and strengthen their understanding. Ultimately, I want my students to leave each lesson feeling assured and equipped to tackle any challenge they may face!
Outside of my studies, I enjoy exploring different locations, countries and restaurants with friends and learning languages (currently learning Spanish, Portuguese and Russian)!
